Getting Started with Ethereum

Getting Started with Ethereum introduces the development workflow around a smart contract. Davi Bauer places Solidity alongside the networks, wallets, storage, and frontend code needed to build an Ethereum application.

The Parts of a DApp

The book covers contracts, local networks, testing, deployment, and verification. Truffle, Ganache, MetaMask, OpenZeppelin, tokens and NFTs, IPFS and Filecoin, ENS, Chainlink, and frontend integration provide the surrounding context.

That breadth helps explain the application's separate responsibilities: contract state, off-chain files, wallet permissions, and external data. Local networks and testnets provide environments for learning transaction behavior before working with real assets.

An Introductory Map

The book suits developers curious about Ethereum who want to understand how its pieces cooperate. Current network and tool documentation is needed alongside older examples. Tutorials do not replace contract security reviews, and technical learning should remain separate from financial claims.
